Know your fleet. Understand your emissions. Act on data.

Clean Vehicles Wizard (CVW) is Vedia’s digital solution for monitoring, analysing and reporting vehicle fleet emissions and energy consumption.

CVW also supports public-sector organisations in monitoring clean vehicle procurements and responding to the requirements of the EU Clean Vehicles Directive.

CVW brings vehicle, mileage and emissions data into one clear view, helping cities, public-sector organisations and companies understand their fleet, identify improvement opportunities and make more sustainable decisions.

Main features CVW

A clear view of your entire fleet

Managing emissions starts with knowing what vehicles are actually in use and how they perform.

CVW provides a centralised view of your own vehicles and, when needed, vehicles operated by service providers and subcontractors.

Vehicle information can be added by registration number or selected by make, model and year. Vehicles can then be organised into groups for easier analysis, monitoring and reporting.

With CVW you can:

  • Analyse vehicle CO₂ emissions and energy or fuel consumption
  • Identify vehicles with high emissions or inefficient utilisation
  • Group vehicles and compare their emission levels
  • Monitor vehicle usage and driven kilometres
  • Follow the development of fleet emissions over time
  • Support fleet renewal and procurement planning
  • Create vehicle, fleet and mileage-based emissions reports
  • Support sustainability and regulatory reporting

From vehicle data to better decisions

CVW turns fleet information into practical insights.

Instead of looking only at individual emission values, organisations can use vehicle and mileage data to understand the overall state of their fleet, identify problem areas and evaluate where changes can create the greatest impact.

The information can support decisions such as:

  • Which vehicles should be renewed first?
  • Where are the highest emissions generated?
  • How much are different vehicle groups being used?
  • What type of vehicles should be required in future procurements?
  • How is the fleet developing towards emissions targets?
  • How can transport emissions be reported more consistently?

Reliable fleet data makes it easier to move from general emission targets to concrete actions.

Emission monitoring and reporting

CVW combines vehicle information with operational data such as mileage to create a more complete view of fleet emissions.

CO₂ emission analysis

See fleet and vehicle-level emissions, set emission requirements and identify how much of the fleet meets defined criteria.

Vehicle management

Manage vehicles in one place, access key vehicle and emissions information and create vehicle groups for different organisations, operations or services.

Mileage and utilisation

Add driven kilometres through integrations, data files or other supported data-collection methods and connect operational activity with vehicle emissions.

Reporting

Create reports based on vehicles, vehicle groups, mileage and total fleet emissions. The information can be used in internal reporting, sustainability work and procurement planning.

Supporting clean vehicle procurement

The EU Clean Vehicles Directive sets minimum requirements for the procurement of clean and low-emission vehicles by public-sector organisations.

CVW helps cities and other public-sector organisations monitor their vehicle fleet, assess the share of clean vehicles and support reporting related to vehicle and transport-service procurements.

The platform provides a clear overview of the current fleet and supports planning future procurements in line with clean vehicle requirements.

CVW has been developed together with Finnish pilot municipalities and public-sector stakeholders to support practical fleet and emissions management.

Integrate existing fleet data

Emission monitoring does not have to rely on manual data collection.

Vedia has implemented integrations with positioning, mileage and fleet-management systems according to customer requirements.

Typical data sources include:

  • Vehicle mileage
  • Fuel consumption
  • Operating hours
  • Vehicle information
  • Fleet and tracking systems

Data can be transferred through APIs or other agreed data-import methods, reducing manual work and improving the continuity of emission monitoring.

Where required, Vedia can also help assess how existing systems and data sources can be connected to automated fleet-emission reporting.

More than just vehicles

CVW can also be used to manage and analyse emissions from machinery and other equipment.

The same principles – fleet identification, operational data, emissions analysis and reporting – can be applied to machinery used in construction and other operational environments.

This enables organisations to build a broader view of transport and machinery-related emissions within the same emission-management approach.

Use CVW independently – or let us help

CVW can be used as a self-service tool, with onboarding included to help organisations get started.

For organisations that need additional support, Vedia also provides emission-management expert services.

Emission Management Starter

A practical starting point for organisations that want to understand the current state of their fleet.

Together, we:

  • Map the current fleet and existing practices
  • Define emission-management objectives
  • Analyse available vehicle and operational data
  • Identify the main emission and utilisation challenges
  • Create recommendations and a roadmap for improvement

Automated Emission Monitoring Assessment

For organisations looking to develop a more comprehensive and automated approach to emission management.

The assessment can cover:

  • Own fleet and service-provider fleet data
  • Available vehicle, mileage and fuel-consumption information
  • Existing systems and interfaces
  • Opportunities for automated data collection
  • Reporting requirements
  • Recommended integrations and next steps

The goal is to create an emission-management model that can be integrated into normal fleet and transport operations.

Proven in practice

CVW has been used in cooperation with cities, public-sector organisations and transport operators in Finland and internationally.

Vedia’s references include organisations such as:

  • City of Vantaa
  • City of Oulu
  • City of Tampere
  • Tuomi Logistiikka
  • Kreis Warendorf

CVW has also been developed and tested together with Finnish cities and other public-sector stakeholders to ensure that the solution responds to practical fleet-management and procurement needs.

Turn fleet data into action

Whether you need a clearer view of your fleet emissions, support for sustainable procurement or a more automated emission-monitoring process, Vedia can help you build a practical approach around reliable data.
